mirrors the strength of its civilisation

The Green Mesopotamian Society is a free Swedish association that is non-political and non-religious, operating in Sweden and abroad, particularly in the Middle East and Iraq.

Membership is open to all interested in the environment worldwide. Priorities include addressing Iraq's long-neglected environmental aspects, such as water problems, rising temperatures, dust storms, desertification, various types of pollution and their impact on human health.

The society also works on protecting and sustaining biodiversity, conserving natural resources, and increasing green spaces. Its goals include raising and developing environmental awareness and culture through media, training courses, workshops, studies, seminars, and scientific conferences on the environment.

جمعية بلاد ما بين النهرين الخضراء هي جمعيه سويديه حره غير سياسيه او دينيه تعمل في السويد وخارجه وبخاصه في الشرق الاوسط والعراق

الاشتراك في الجمعيه مفتوح لجميع المهتمين بالبيئه في جميع انحاء العالم ,ومن اولوياتها الاهتمام بالجوانب البيئيه في العراق لما تعانيه من اهمال وتدمير لعقود ماضيه وبخاصه مشاكل المياه وارتفاع درجات الحراره

والعواصف الغباريه والتصحر والتلوث البيئي بانواعه المختلفه وتأثيرها على صحة الانسان, كذلك تعمل الجمعيه على حماية واستدامة التنوع البيولوجي والمحافظه على الموارد الطبيعيه وزيادة المساحات الخضراء , ومن اهداف الجمعيه رفع وتطوير مستوى الوعي والثقافه البيئيه من خلال الاعلام والدورات التدريبيه وورش العمل والدراسات والندوات والمؤتمرات العلميه الخاصه بالبيئه

• Finding practical means to repair Iraq's environment

The administrative board consists of

• Chairman of the Board
• Vice Chairman of the Board
• Secretary
• Accountant
• Four full members
• Two to four assistant members

Financial Aspects

• The society's activities are financed within the approved budget by the board of directors through annual member subscriptions and assistance received by the society from various organizations and bodies.
• The board is responsible for the budget during the year.

Amending the Internal Regulations

The internal regulations are amended only at the annual meeting or at a special meeting called through the annual meeting, provided that half of those present agree to make the change, and the changes are approved by voting and the approval of two-thirds of those present.

٦- اربع اعضاء كاملي العضويه

٧- اثان الى اربعة اعضاء مساعدين

الجوانب الماليه

 ١- يتم تمويل انشطة الجمعيه في اطار الميزانيه المعتمده من قبل مجلس ادارة الجمعيه عن طريق الاشتراكات السنويه للاعضاء والمساعدات التي تحصل عليها الجمعيه من   لمنظمات والهيئات المختلفه   

٢- يكون مجلس الاداره هو المسؤول عن الميزانيه خلال السنه.

Industrial progress and global warming have seriously damaged our environment by rapidly depleting natural resources. This crisis has made sustainable development growth that meets our needs today without compromising future generations—a key priority. We need new strategies to build a sustainable economy, establish policies that manage resource use wisely, and always prioritize environmental protection.

The environment surrounds and supports everything we do it links human progress, society, and natural resources. True development must respect this connection. We should teach people of all ages and backgrounds to see caring for the environment as a mark of true civilization. By protecting our natural world, we create stronger communities ready to face future challenges, especially now when rapid scientific advances often bring unintended harm to the environment.

Humans are both the cause of many environmental problems and the ones most affected by them. Our awareness and daily actions shape industries, governments, economies, and societies. A healthy environment comes from a responsible, life-affirming society. One whose culture and behavior reflect genuine national progress.

In everyday life, we often see habits that harm the environment and public health, such as wasting resources or causing pollution. We must pause and reflect on these to fulfill our responsibility. Lasting change requires greater awareness and stronger cultural values, like those in forward-thinking societies that actively care for and restore the natural world.

ان استنزاف الموارد الطبيعيه والضغوطات السلبيه التي تعرضت لها البيئه نتيجة للتطور الصناعي وخصوصا ظاهرة الاحتباس الحراري تأثيرا واضحا على سلامة البيئه وافراز مصطلح التنميه المستدامه صرختنا في عصرنا هذا, لذلك اصبح من الضروري بناء رؤيه جديده لدعم الاقتصاد المستدام وجعله هدفا للاقتصاد الاداري وخلق سياسه واستراتيجيه لتحديد استهلاك الموارد الطبيعيه وايلاء العنايه بالبيئه, وبالتالي ولكون البيئه مفهوم شامل يجب ان يكون هنالك ربط بين عملية التنميه والانسان والمصادر الطبيعيه للبيئه لان البيئه قضيه شموليه تربط هدف التنميه بالانسان بجميع مكوناتها , مما يتطلب ان نزرع في عقول المجتمع بكافة اعماره ومختلف فئاته مفهوم العنايه بالبيئه كسلوك حضاري لآننا عندما نحافظ على سلامة البيئه انشأنا مجتمعا قادر على النهوض بمستوى التحديات التي قد تواجه البيئه  وخصوصا نحن نعيش سلسله من الاكتشافات العلميه السريعه المذهله التي واكبها تحطيم للبيئه في نفس الو

ان الانسان قد يكون السبب للمشكلات البيئيه وهو هدفها وبالتالي فأن ما يتمتع به من وعي وسلوك يعدان شئ مهم في الحفاظ على البيئه كونه المحرك الاساس للمؤسسات الصناعيه والسياسيه والاجتماعيه والاقتصاديه وأجهزة الدوله , فالبيئه الصحيه هي نتاج لمجتمع سليم مؤمن بالحياة وهو امتداد لحضارة  وسلوك يعكس مدى تطور الامه

هناك سلوكيات كثيره نشاهدها خلال حياتنا اليوميه ينبغي ان تكون هناك وقفه جاده تجاهها لآداء واجبنا اتجاه بيئتنا تلك المتمثله بمختلف اشكال السلبيات التي تضر بالبيئه والصحه العامه. وهذا لا يتحقق الا من خلال السلوكيات التي تكون بمستوى عالي من الوعي والثقافه واللتان هما نتاج لحضارة الشعوب المتقدمه التي تضخ الدماء في شرايين البيئه
